You may have noticed Rosie O’Donnell has been spending a lot of time in Boston.
There’s good reason: O’Donnell is hard at work on Showtime’s new South Boston-based series “SMILF,’’ which most critics agree is good and could, eventually, be great. On the show, O’Donnell plays Tutu, a tough, narcissistic mom who struggles with manic depression.
But there’s something — or someone — else keeping O’Donnell in the area. The former cohost of “The View’’ has a new girlfriend and their relationship has gotten very serious very fast. Promoting “SMILF’’ the other day on “The Howard Stern Show,’’ Rosie said she’s smitten.
