Apple CEO Tim Cook was all over Boston this week
Apple CEO Tim Cook gave a commencement speech at MIT Friday, urging graduates to seek new ways to help humanity and avoid becoming cynical.
Cook didn’t just stick around campus, though. Before and after the ceremony, he checked out several spots around Boston, including the three-story Apple store on Boylston Street.
Cook arrived at MIT at least a day before his June 9 speech, commending MIT students and faculty for “finding new ways to tackle the world’s biggest challenges” in a tweet on Thursday.

On Friday evening, Cook posted a photo from the Apple store on Boylston Street, standing out in a bright white shirt amid a sea of more than 50 Apple employees, most wearing vivid green T-shirts.

Later that evening, Cook visited Fenway Park to watch the Red Sox beat the Tigers, 5-3. He donned a Red Sox jersey and sat with team owner John Henry during the game.
After the game, Cook chatted with Sox manager John Farrell. “Thanks @RedSox & #redsoxnation for capping a fun day in Boston! #WinDanceRepeat,” he tweeted.
