Olympians are known as fierce competitors. Needham’s Aly Raisman and Simone Biles, America’s sweethearts and noted dynamic duo, are no exception.

The two medalists dropped in (literally) for a surprise appearance on Sunday’s episode of Lip Sync Battle, joining actress Olivia Munn on stage to star in an acrobatic finale of Sia’s hit “Cheap Thrills.”
Raisman and Biles, who both collected an array of medals at the 2016 Olympic Games, clearly came to compete. Their signature flips and jumps provided the perfect ending to Munn’s carnival-themed performance.
However, Munn appeared alongside a Lip Sync Battle opponent who’s just as well-known for his competitiveness: Olympian Michael Phelps. In the end, Phelps notched yet another gold medal for his rendition of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” He beat out Munn, Raisman, and Biles, as well as John Legend and Stevie Wonder, who joined forces for Outkast’s classic “Hey Ya,” and Terry Crews, who pulled out all the stops for his election-inspired performance.
Phelps’s victory notwithstanding, the surprise reunion of the decorated athletes was a highlight of the show. The three are known to have appreciation for each other. Biles once tweeted that Phelps “taught me how to stack my medals,” and Raisman tweeted out a playful response after Phelps’s Lip Sync Battle win.
Pretty salty we didn’t win. 😜 @oliviamunn @Simone_Biles @MichaelPhelps pic.twitter.com/7hXIpZqkmA
