Matt Damon is now responsible for two great comebacks in our nation’s history: his Jason Bourne persona and his majestic long hair. Damon was seen sporting the new/old look at a press event in Beijing on Tuesday while promoting the latest installment in the Jason Bourne franchise.

The actor, Bostonian, and noted attractive person first revealed his hairstyle versatility last year during a press conference for his upcoming movie The Great Wall.

We learned in September, during an interview on The Graham Norton Show, that Damon’s miracle hair growth was actually the result of 700 hair extensions and a stylist’s entire day’s worth of work.

Considering that Damon was spotted in New York with his classic cropped haircut just two days ago, the extension scenario also seems likely this time around. Still, the return of the hair is notable because of its new styling: Damon has progressed from a man pony to an expertly crafted man bun.
