See the ah-dorable letter high school-aged Chris Evans wrote to land an internship
Captain America had humble beginnings, too.
Chris Evans may be Captain America now, but even he had to start as an intern once.
The Boston-born actor remembered these humble beginnings with a throwback photo he posted to Twitter on Wednesday.
During his junior year of high school, Christopher Evans, as he went by back then, was looking for a summer internship. He apparently filled “dozens” of casting agencies with his plea, according to his tweet.

Evans went to high school in Sudbury but spent that summer of his formative years taking classes at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York, according to the letter.
“Since my weekdays will be open I was hoping to arrange an internship in the city allowing someone to take advantage of a hardworking individual like me, in exchange for a tremendous opportunity to be exposed to the business side of theatre,” Evans wrote.
Though he didn’t share them online, Evans said the resume and headshot he sent along with the note were “BEYOND humiliating.”

Safe to say things all worked out for Christopher’s career in the end.
