Watch Chris Evans channel Prince, belt out ‘Diamonds and Pearls’
The singer would have been 58 today.
To celebrate what would would have been Prince’s 58th birthday on Tuesday, W Magazine invited several celebrities to perform renditions of some of the singer’s greatest hits. One of the guests who participated was Sudbury’s own Chris Evans.
“I literally want to do an interpretive dance instead of singing,” the actor said, before pulling a fast one and singing the lyrics to Prince’s 1991 hit “Diamonds and Pearls.”
Evans shares the tune with fellow actors Nate Parker and Chiwetel Ejiofor, and the series includes appearances by Cindy Crawford, Kit Harington, Elle Fanning and more. In addition to the “Diamonds and Pearls” video below, Evans is also featured in a video from W Magazine sharing his memories of the late musician.
