Joseph Gordon-Levitt, in true Massachusetts style, will brave the snow for Hasty Pudding event today
Winter weather is ‘snow’ problem for this dashing, daring Man of the Year.
Yes, it’s snowing out there, but Hasty Pudding Theatricals will not concede their plans to celebrate their Man of the Year. Never!
The country’s oldest theatrical group will honor Joseph Gordon-Levitt as their 2016 Man of the Year during a Friday evening ceremony in Harvard Square. Hasty Pudding confirmed that JGL made it to town Thursday night and will take the traditional festivities — a public outdoor event, a roast, and a press conference — by storm (literally).
The Man of the Year roast — where JGL will be presented with his pudding pot — will begin at 8 p.m. The press conference will follow directly afterward at 8:30 p.m.
The City of Cambridge is currently evaluating if Hasty Pudding can proceed with the outdoor event, which is currently scheduled for 3:45 p.m. Friday and is set to take place at 96 Winthrop St. Hasty Pudding expects to hear back from Cambridge reps with a definitive decision at noon.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is the 50th man to receive this award. Past recipients include Clint Eastwood, James Franco, Justin Timberlake, and Neil Patrick Harris.
