Newton native Matt LeBlanc is joining the U.K.’s popular car show

Sadly, it has nothing to do with Joey’s Porsche.

Everyone knows Joey Tribbiani loves his fast cars. Apparently, so does Matt LeBlanc.

Deadline reports that the Newton native is set to join the U.K.’s revived flagship car show Top Gear when it returns to BBC Two this May. LeBlanc, who has appeared on the show twice before and hosted its spinoff, Top Gear: The Races, will tag team with Chris Evans (no, not that Chris Evans), a U.K.-based personality and producer.

Though this is the first time Top Gear has had a non-British host in its 39 years on air, LeBlanc and the BBC already know each other quite well: LeBlanc’s Showtime show Episodes airs on BBC Two in the U.K. and also shoots in London.

So cheers to cool cars and to hoping we’ll get to see LeBlanc in a Porsche get-up again. Sorry, Porsche-ah.
