Meghan Trainor was behind the most memorable—and steamiest—moment at the American Music Awards Sunday night.

The Nantucket-and-Cape-Cod-born-and-raised pop star’s lips were moving during her performance of “Marvin Gaye’’ with singer Charlie Puth—and more than to just the lyrics of the song.

The two stars performed two singles together, “Like I’m Gonna Lose You’’ and “Marvin Gaye,’’ the latter of which takes things up a notch with the lyrics, “Let’s Marvin Gaye and get it on.’’ Looks like they did just that… on stage… in front of the world.

Puth talked about the moment afterward, saying: “My whole vision when I made ‘Marvin Gaye’ was for people to hear the record and to spontaniously just make out.’’
