Lexington native, Dresden Dolls singer, and self-described “professional party thrower’’ Amanda Palmer welcomed a new baby with husband Neil Gaiman on Tuesday. It’s a boy, and his name is Anthony. Palmer wrote on Twitter:
after 24 hours of labor at home … we’re finally all safely landed on the other side of childbirth…me, neil and little anthony.
“It was a long but rewarding labour,’’ Gaiman also wrote on his blog. “The name on his birth registration is Anthony, but mostly I call him Squeaker. He makes the best noises in the world, mostly squeaks and peeps and snuffles.’’
Palmer is a long-time performer, a New York Times best-selling author, and Harvard Square’s one-time “Eight-Foot Bride,’’ and Gaiman is an everything artist, a writer of novels and screenplays.
So let’s celebrate this baby, the most artistically heightened child to be birthed into this planet. Cheers.
