Matt Damon still overly certain that Tom Brady rules
He didn’t cheat, OK?
In spite of what Miss America seems to postulate, Matt Damon, a New England everyman, is absolutely, positively, 100 percent certain that Tom Brady is not a cheater. In fact, he is exceedingly confident that Tom Brady is still the most exceptional human being basically ever.
“No, he didn’t cheat, and he’s the greatest quarterback of all time,’’ Damon told the Boston Globe at the Toronto International Film Festival, where he’s promoting his latest movie The Martian. Inevitably, he launched into an in-depth critique on the whole Deflategate plight.
“I think the practice of inflating the balls before games is far less scientific, or was, last year, far less scientific, than the NFL is pretending that it was,’’ he said. “I think it was a couple of dudes with needles from MVP Sports, and they were giving the balls a cantaloupe test before the game.’’
Damon finally added, “There just needs to be a correction in this whole process. ’’
Alas, some perspective from an individual whose opinions are probably just as trivial as those on your Facebook feed. We still like you, Damon.
