Alarming confession: Mark Wahlberg never wanted to be on TV
This is appalling.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, “grounded’’ human being Mark Wahlberg took a moment to clear the air on his ambitions (or lack thereof) toward being a reality star. While most of us were so rudely tricked into believing reality TV is his first and foremost passion (how could it not?), Mark Wahlberg actually never wanted to be on his family-driven series Wahlburgers.
He told THR:
Yeah, initially I didn’t want to be on television. I’m sick of being on television. Yes, I’m an actor and a producer, which is my first love, but being on TV as “Mark Wahlberg’’ was not of interest to me. But it was [ultimately] about promoting and building the business. And it’s been a nice thing that has brought our family closer.
Could you just imagine a life in which Mark Wahlberg was not on Wahlburgers? No. Impossible.
