U2, just like everyone else, can’t eat doughnuts without Instagramming
Union Square Donuts delivers apparently.

U2, Dublin band known for local trickery and also for being musically inclined, apparently got their hands on a dozen donuts from one of the Boston area’s beloved doughnut shops. The band is in town for a string of four shows at TD Garden, and posted a photo on their Instagram today of some half-eaten treats from Union Square Donuts in Somerville, titling it “Edge breakfast #U2ieTour.’’
“We looked back at the deliveries and none of them didn’t really seem like….Well, essentially we didn’t know we were delivering to U2,’’ owner Josh Danoff said, laughing. Someone on Twitter pointed out that U2 Instagrammed a photo of doughnuts that looked a lot like USD’s, and he got the hat tip that way.
“I think that if The Edge or someone from U2 came into the shop, we would have instantly known,’’ he added. “It’s definitely very cool. It’s not everyday that U2 posts something on Instagram about your doughnut shop.’’
Exactly. And hey, if anything, we know Bono is just like us. Eating a beautiful doughnut without Instagramming it would be an incredible injustice.
