“Saturday Night Live’’ alum Amy Poehler will have a couple of weeks to relax after her Golden Globes hosting duties on Sunday, before she travels to Cambridge for a Jan. 29 parade in her honor as the Hasty Pudding Theatricals Woman of the Year.

On Tuesday, the nation’s oldest theatrical organization announced that it was “proud to honor a talented and hilarious actress whose brand of comedy fits so well with the Pudding’s own tradition of satire and social commentary.’’

Poehler, a Burlington native and Boston College graduate, is a Golden Globe-winning actress (best actress in a TV comedy or musical, “Parks and Recreation’’), an Emmy-nominated comedian, a television producer and writer, and most recently, a best-selling author (“Yes Please’’).

Immediately after the 4 p.m. parade, Poehler will be roasted at Harvard’s Farkas Hall, where she’ll receive her Pudding Pot before being treated to several musical numbers from the Hasty Pudding cast’s 167th production, “¡Oops! Madrid it Again…’’

Previous Hasty Pudding Women of the Year have included Oscar-winning actresses Dame Helen Mirren (2014) and Marion Cotillard (2013), as well as Golden Globe winner, Claire Danes (2012).
