Benedict Cumberbatch Tries Cannoli In North End
While taking a break from filming the upcoming “Black Mass’’-based film on Monday, actor Benedict Cumberbatch and his costars Joel Edgerton and Jesse Plemmons headed to Modern Pastry for coffee and treats, according to People magazine.
The report states that he tried a plain ricotta cannoli for the FIRST TIME EVER at Modern after dining family-style at Carmelina’s on Hanover Street.
“He’s a great guy,’’ Carmelina’s owner and chef Damien DiPaola told People. DiPoala reportedly has a small role in the film.
“He’s a gentleman,’’ Dipoala added. “He was so happy to be in the North End. He loved the atmosphere.’’
