Dave Chappelle to Perform at Radio City Music Hall This Summer
Nearly 10 years ago, Dave Chappelle brought some of the best funk and hip-hop artists to Brooklyn for an epic block party. Kanye West and John Legend were just a couple of the names on the comedy-and music-infused bill, which was the subject of a hit 2005 film directed by Michel Gondry.
Fingers crossed, Chappelle will bring the same contagious energy when he performs in New York for the first time in over a decade this summer.
The comedian is set for a three day run (June 24-26) at Radio City Music Hall, and will be joined by a number of musical guests, including The Roots, Janelle Monáe, Erykah Badu, Busta Rhymes, and DJ Premier. Chappelle and his musical pals will be accompanied by a full orchestra.
The trio of dates will follow Chappelle’s already sold-out string of stand-up performances at Radio City, which runs from June 18 to June 22.
General tickets to the shows will go on sale at Ticketmaster starting June 2 at 10 a.m.
