So far, Comedy Central has not commented on the Reporter’s story.

According to the New York Times, Colbert’s final broadcast will air on Dec. 17, with “The Minority Report’’ airing the following January.

The show will reportedly draw on Wilmore’s experience covering racial issues on The Daily Show, with a focus on “provid[ing] an opportunity for the underrepresented voices out there,’’ Comedy Central President Michele Ganeless told the Times.
