Kevin Spacey Featured in New ‘Call of Duty’ Trailer
We knew Frank Underwood liked video games, we just never thought he’d star in one.
“House of Cards’’ star Kevin Spacey is being tapped to voice the lead character in the next installment of the “Call of Duty’’ franchise, titled “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare,’’ according to a report by Yahoo Games.
Rumors of Spacey’s involvement began floating around the Internet after a mysterious audio file featuring the Oscar-winning actor’s voice leaked on Thursday.
Shortly after the impromptu reveal, Activision decided to release the full trailer for “Advanced Warfare’’ on Youtube, which was originally set to hit the web on Sunday, May 4.
The video, embedded above, looks more like a future episode of “House of Cards’’ than a video game as the promo features both Spacey’s voice and character likeness.
The acclaimed actor isn’t the first celebrity to get involved in a “Call of Duty’’ game. Last month, the video game franchise released a downloadable voice pack featuring rapper Snoop Dogg for its “Call of Duty: Ghost’’ installment.
