‘Biggest Loser’ casting call scheduled in Revere April 12

NBC’s hit weight-loss competition show, “The Biggest Loser,’’ is coming to the Boston area.

The show is holding a casting call at Planet Fitness in Revere on April 12, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Families, individuals, and former athletes, especially candidates with at least 100 pounds to lose, are encouraged to apply.

The winner(s) of the show’s upcoming 16th season will take home $250,000.

The show came under scrutiny after 15th season winner Rachel Frederickson dropped 155 pounds and debuted a radically different look at the finale.
