These Boston streets will close for trick-or treaters Tuesday night
Boston’s littlest residents will take to Boston’s streets Tuesday night wearing costumes and carrying sacks of treats. In an effort to keep them safe, the city will close a number of streets to motorists, according to Mayor Marty Walsh’s office.
Back Bay
Marlborough Street will be closed to traffic from Berkeley Street to Fairfield Street from 5:30-8 p.m.
Beacon Hill
The following will be closed from 4:30-8 p.m.: Pinckney Street, Joy Street to Charles Street; Mt. Vernon Street, Joy Street to Charles Street; Chestnut Street, Walnut Street to Charles Street; West Cedar Street, Revere Street to Chestnut Street; Anderson Street, Myrtle Street to Pinckney Street; and Branch Street, Charles Street to Spruce Street.
Charlestown
All of Monument Square will be closed, as well as the following streets, from 4-8:30 p.m.: Monument Avenue, Warren Street to Monument Square; Winthrop Street, Monument Street to Common Street; Common Street, Winthrop Street to Adams Street; Adams Street, Common Street to Winthrop Street; and Park Street, Common Street to Winthrop Street.
“Tow Zone No Stopping Boston Police Special Event Tuesday 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.” parking restrictions will appear around Monument Square, as well as on the following streets: Winthrop Street, both sides, from Monument Square to Common Street; Common Street, both sides, from Winthrop Street to Adams Street; Adams Street, both sides, from Common Street to Winthrop Street.
Jamaica Plain
Dunster Road will be closed to traffic from Centre Street to Dane Street from 4:30-8 p.m.
Roslindale
Tyndale Street will be closed to traffic from Guernsey Street to Ainsworth Street from 6-8 p.m.; Mendum Street will shut down from Fairview Street to Walter Street from 5:30-7:30 p.m.; and both South Street from Lesher Street to Washington Street near Healy Field and Musgrove Avenue from South Street to Washington Street will be closed from 5:30-8 p.m.
South Boston
Beckler Avenue will be closed to traffic from K Street to the end from 3-8 p.m.
South End
Rutland Street will be closed to traffic from Tremont Street to Shawmut Street from 5-8 p.m.
