Being a Wonder Woman when you’ve got super strength, a golden lasso, and a kickin’ tiara is one thing. When all you’ve got are scrubs and a stethoscope and you’re facing a deadly pandemic, that’s something else altogether.

That’s why Boston-based sneaker giant Reebok decided that for its new Reebok x Wonder Woman 84 collection, it would spotlight some truly wonderful women: local nurses who’ve been on the front lines of the battle against COVID-19.

“We saw this amazing surge of frontline workers coming and doing exactly what Wonder Woman represents: helping people,” Caroline Machen, vice president of global marketing at Reebok, told The Boston Globe. “We wanted to celebrate that.” The campaign — a tie-in with “Wonder Woman 1984,” the pandemic-delayed sequel to 2017’s “Wonder Woman” — spotlights Boston-area nurses

Cassie Moy, Vilma Pacheco, Taylor Meyer, Suki Stiles, Solange Rosa, and Kathryn D’Innocenzo, who tell their stories in a documentary video on the Reebok website.
