The coronavirus pandemic has definitely put a damper on summer plans.

Locals are making adjustments — planning weekend excursions around New England, taking more day trips to the beach, or choosing online classes instead of heading to summer camp.

But there is an escape that remains unchanged — the summer read. 

At the start of the season, we asked local experts what books they were looking forward to diving into — whether they could be on a beach or not. Now we want to know: What books have gotten you through the summer? 

Was there a title you couldn’t put down? A read that captured your attention so completely you forgot the stresses of the pandemic for just a little while? A book you can’t stop thinking about or telling everyone to read?
