Have you ever thought to pair beer with French toast? A brewery in Framingham is planning to do just that. On Sunday, March 19, Exhibit ‘A’ Brewing Co. will host a beer brunch at its Framingham taproom with Barrington Coffee Roasting Company filling pour-overs and Fat Boyfriend Bakery serving up French toast. The brewery will pour the last of its Sunday Paper, a rich, chocolatey imperial stout brewed with Las Camelias coffee from Barrington.“There are many ways to infuse flavor into beer, and I stand strong and proud to only use real ingredients and never using extracts or other quick easy products and methods,” said Matthew Steinberg, the brewery’s co-founder and head brewer. “For Sunday Paper, we went with a cold-brew method, where we added cold brewed coffee. We chose Barrington’s Las Camelias Coffee to impart a rich, but slightly subdued coffee aroma and flavor to the beer.”This will be the last chance to get Sunday Paper until next year, according to Steinberg. Typically, Exhibit ‘A’ brews Sunday Paper late in the summer, making it available for a late fall or early winter release. In 2016, they only brewed one batch, which is about 150 cases. This summer, they’ll likely brew four to six batches, thanks to added fermentation space.“Pairing beer and breakfast food would certainly depend on what you are eating for breakfast. Sunday Paper pairs nicely with bacon, corned beef hash or anything with a little spice like French Toast,” said Kelsey Roth, the brewery’s marketing manager. “When it comes to eggs, I prefer something lighter like a citrusy IPA or even a Belgian wheat beer.” March 19, noon-4 p.m., 81 Morton St., Framingham, exhibit-a-brewing.com
