Trillium Brewing will be ditching some of their bottles for cans

Starting Wednesday, you can crack open a can of some of your favorite Trillium brews.

The Boston-based brewing company announced that it’s trading its bottles for cans for its “hop forward” beers in an Instagram post Tuesday night.

Trillium said the brews will switch from 25.4-ounce bottles to 16-ounce cans sold in packs of four—and the switch started to roll out Wednesday with the brewery’s India pale ale, Congress Street.

The four-pack costs $17 but prices will vary depending on the beer. For now, the brewery said they will limit consumers to one case per person.

“Batch sizes and case counts will go up as we get our legs under us,” Trillium wrote in the post.

Cans will be available at both the Boston and newly-opened Canton breweries. The brewery’s dark and wild beers will continue to only be sold in bottles and growlers.
