This ginger beer with a buzz was crafted by a local farmer and two Brown students
Farmer Willie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer is available in stores in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
If you’re in need of a relaxing beverage this spring that’s not quite a beer and not quite a soda, a Cape Cod goat farmer and two Brown University students may have the drink for you.
Farmer Willie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer announced a broader distribution today which will make cans of the product available in select bars, restaurants, and liquor stores throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island. According to a release, Farmer Willie’s is the first ever brewed beverage in the U.S. to be Carbon Neutral certified and will donate 1% of all sales to environmental causes.

Farmer Willie Fenichel began making the drink out of his Cape Cod kitchen in 2008, and eventually partnered with Brown students Nico Enriquez and Max Easton to bring the beverage to the masses.
Farmer Willie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer is now available for purchase. For more information, visit the company’s website.
