‘BB@home’ presents intimate performances by Boston Ballet
Tickets are on sale now.
Usually, the elongated lines and buoyant leaps of Boston Ballet dancers are preserved for view at the large, downtown Opera House. “BB@home,” however, allows patrons to be just feet from the action.
During this series, Boston Ballet company members perform at their South End rehearsal studio in a black box theater setting. Over two weekends in February, “BB@home” will focus on showcasing choreography by company members and providing a sneak peek of upcoming work.
“BBII@home,” will take place on Feb. 7 and 8. Boston Ballet II, Boston Ballet’s two-year program comprised of younger dancers, will present old and new works, including one work of choreography by a Boston Ballet company member and another by a BBII member.
On Feb. 22 and 23, the performances will serve as a preview of “Full on Forsythe,” Boston Ballet’s upcoming program at the Opera House. Following the sneak peek, artistic director Mikko Nissinen, choreographer William Forsythe, and dancers will engage in a conversation with the audience.
Tickets for these performances are now on sale on the Boston Ballet website.
