Chris Cooper pays a visit to the Huntington Theatre, sees play he got a Tony nomination for
Actor Chris Cooper was in town Thursday night to catch a performance of the Huntington Theatre Company’s production of “A Doll’s House, Part 2.’’
Cooper starred in the original Broadway production, which was nominated for a variety of awards in 2017, including the Tony for Best Play. Cooper himself was nominated for a Tony for his performance as Torvald Helmer.
Thursday evening was Cooper’s first time seeing the play as an audience member, according to a Huntington Theatre Company publicist.
“Such great interpretations,’’ Cooper said of the Huntington performance. “What a wonderful, wonderful show.’’
Cooper met backstage with the Boston cast: Nancy E. Carroll, Mary Beth Fisher, John Judd, and Nikki Massoud.
