R.I. Dinosaur Prank Scares Mother Into Temporarily Abandoning Her Children
If you’ve got the time, go ahead and watch this entire video. It’s pretty well done and it’s almost always fun to laugh at other people’s expense, particularly when they’re running from something as absurd as a fake dinosaur.
But if you’re in a rush, go ahead and jump to the 1:53 mark for the only part of this video that’s really worth watching. It’s a sunny day in Rhode Island, a mother is walking with her two young children, and then the dinosaur makes its move.
You might expect a mother to have extreme concern for the safety of her offspring. You might even expect that she’d grab them and usher them to safety. But not this mom – her first move is to get the hell out of there. She runs a solid couple of yards before she even remembers that her little ones are with her and might need help escaping.
That’s really not a knock on her or her parenting since an unexpected “beast’’ the size of a small car would probably scare anyone if it came running out of the woods. But since it’s on video and she runs like George Costanza in a fire, it’s impossible not to laugh.
