’’Yappier Hour’’ at the bar Clink in Beacon Hill on Wednesday nights invites patrons to bring their dogs to mingle and play.

What’s the best cure for these dog days of summer? A cold cocktail, and quality time with some actual dogs, of course.

Pups drink for free at the Liberty Hotel’s Yappier Hour—the special “pup-tail’’ for four-legged friends blends chicken broth and water with a sprinkle of parsley on top—but their owners do have to pay for drinks and snacks. This isn’t a stuffy sit-down event—one dog-owner described it as “a dog park with a bar.’’

Yappier Hour is open Wednesday’s from May to October, 5:30 to 8 p.m., weather permitting. This dog-friendly outing is a perfect way to soak up the last of the warm weather before you only take your pups outside to pee in the snow. Dogs of all sizes are welcome. Here’s a few of the furry faces that recently frolicked in the Beacon Hill hotel’s courtyard.
