Name: Katie and Jess Bramlett
Age: 26 (We are twins)
City: Boston
For both of us, Massachusetts General Hospital has grown to be a special and valued organization, especially for their community involvement and life-changing work in patient care, research, and education.
Growing up nearby in Massachusetts, we would attend the Boston Marathon in Wellesley every year throughout our childhood, cheering on runners as they crossed the halfway mark, and always thinking it would be incredible to run it together one day.
Fast forward to the last few years, my twin sister, Jess, now works at Mass General Hospital within their Development Office, as a coordinator for Community Fundraising & the Marathon Program. She has had the privilege to work directly with medical staff, current and former patients, and families to raise funds and host community events that bring hope, inspiration, and healing.
For me, I have been so proud to watch her team’s impact and to join her as a volunteer and participant at numerous community events, Mass General Cancer Center 5Ks, and Marathon Mondays with MGH at Mile 20.
Home Base is also a special cause to me personally, as I have participated in their runs and fundraising for the last seven years after discovering the organization through my company’s sponsorship. It feels as though it has now come full circle for both of us to be taking on this next challenge together, and even more rewarding to be supporting Mass General Hospital’s three signature causes: Pediatric Cancer, Emergency Medicine, & Home Base, as we cross the finish line on Boylston Street this year.
Join us in fundraising as we run 26.2 in 2026! All donations are greatly appreciated.
