We want to know: Where’s the best place to cry in public?
Tell us where in Boston gives the best backdrop for a good sob.
With shorter and colder days, life can feel gloomier this time of year, and crying is an effective and therapeutic release.
Whether you make it a habit to get in a regular stress-relieving cry or you wait until the tears sneak up on you after a long day, you probably know the feeling of clarity that comes after a really good cry.
Readers have told Boston.com that there’s nothing quite like the public cry. Last year, we asked readers for their best spots in and around the city for a good sob and heard stories of tears shed in public parks, libraries, bars, and more.
The top choices for public crying were along the Charles River or the Esplanade, on the T, in the Public Garden, Boston Harbor, and Christian Science Center.
Where would you prefer to cry?
If you have experience shedding tears around Boston, we want to know where you stand on the best locales to have an emotional moment.
Do you find it cathartic to openly sob on the T or do you prefer a more secluded weepy walk through the Arboretum? Let us know where you do your public crying by filling out the survey below or emailing us at [email protected] and we may feature your response in a future article.
