This may not be New York or San Francisco, but Boston can still play a mean bagel game.
When it comes to bagels, the possibilities for customization are nearly endless. The bagel itself can be anywhere on the sweet-to-savory scale. They can be hefty breakfast sandwiches or simply smeared with cream cheese. No matter your preference, there’s a bagel out there for everyone.
Last year, we shared a reader-recommended guide of the best bagels in the Boston area, and we want to update the guide for 2024 bagel lovers.
The top five bagel places recommended by readers were Bagelsaurus in Cambridge, Goldilox Bagels in Medford, Katz Bagel Bakery in Chelsea, and Bagel Guild in Boston. The majority vote went to SPoT! in Norwood. “There are lines out the door, that’s how good the bagels are,” Aida from Norwood said in 2023. Are any of these top picks among your favorites?
