Tell us: What’s the best spicy dish in Greater Boston?

Has a meal you've had in Greater Boston ever made you feel like your mouth was on fire? We want to know about it.

This one’s for the fans of heat out there, in all its quantities and forms.

We’re of course talking about spicy dishes. Sure, New England is not immediately known for being a spicy food destination, but those who think that about Greater Boston would be wrong. Here in the metro area, there are plenty of dishes to devour that range from the kind of spice that lightly ignites the tongue to the heat that makes you feel like you could breathe fire.

Maybe it’s the brothy chili oil spiced with sichuan peppers in the boiled pork dish at Yunnan Kitchen you can’t get enough of, or that you dare choose extra spicy when ordering customer favorite chicken tikka masala at India Quality. Spice can come in many forms, from sliced jalapeños in your tacos, a hot sauce on your sandwich, or a combination of spices and chilies cooked into your chicken.

Because foods with extra heat in Greater Boston are as diverse as they are plentiful, we need your help. We want to where you go when you need a dish (or drink — spicy cocktails count, too) that packs a mighty punch. It can be anything, from wings and curry to hot pot and tacos, but it must be a mouth-blistering hot meal.

Mentioning a specific dish and the restaurant is great, but we’d also like to know what makes it spicy. Is it a harissa spread? Chopped dried chilies? The more specific you are, the better we can inform (or warn) our readers.
