Readers: What meal prep recipes are getting you through the week?
Tell us the recipes you're using to streamline your week.
Going into the office to work isn’t just about the eight hours you spend at your desk, it’s also about the time you spend preparing to have a productive day.
As we return to the office, many of us are realizing that we no longer have the luxury of getting through the day at our own pace and that means missing out on freshly cooked breakfasts, lunches, and sometimes even dinners, during the workweek.
Last month, we asked readers who had returned to the office how they felt about the return and many readers said it took some planning to get readjusted to their new schedules. For one reader from the South Shore, a big part of that was streamlining their meals.
“Get back to meal prepping! Especially lunches. Our office is open but the cafeteria has limited selections, is pricey, and honestly, the food is not good. Two years of eating what and when I wanted has made the transition to being on the clock again tough,” they said. “So I’m back to spending a portion of Sunday meal prepping for the week. Threw out my grungy lunch bag for a roomier one that holds breakfast, lunch, and snacks.”
Meal prepping not only saves you time throughout the week, but it can also lead to healthier eating habits when going out for lunch or picking up take-out on your way home is the alternative.
As more people have made their return to the office, we suspect that meal prepping is coming back into our lives in a big way. Whether you’re returning to batch cooking because of an office return or you’ve always sworn by it as a way to get through busy weeks, we want to know what you’re meal prepping.
