Going to the grocery store before a snowstorm can be a harrowing experience as people rush through the aisles to stock up on snow day essentials.

With the National Weather Service predicting a weekend coastal storm that could bring heavy snowfall to the region, many people are heading to the grocery store to stock their pantries.

The essentials like bottled water and canned food are quick to go and if you’ve lived through even one New England winter then you’re already familiar with the mad dash for bread and milk in anticipation of a snowstorm.

But those who’ve been through a snowstorm or two know that just as important as stocking up on the essentials is making sure you’ve got your favorite comfort foods and snacks to make it through the days spent inside.

For some of us, that means making sure we’re fully prepared with all the snack foods we need to make it through movie marathons. For others, the most important item on the grocery list are the ingredients for a favorite soup or warm winter drink.

Once you’ve got your milk, bread, and toilet paper we want to know what other must-haves are on your winter-storm grocery list. Let us know what comfort foods, snacks, or drinks you’ll be stocking up on ahead of this weekend’s storm by filling out the survey below or emailing us at [email protected] and we may feature your response in a future article.
