Diners are an American staple. Whether you’re looking for a hearty pancake breakfast or a traditional burger and milkshake for lunch, going to a greasy spoon is sure to quell a craving for comfort foods.
A classic diner, however, can sometimes be hard to come by, especially in a big city. These are the haunts that feel as if you were taken back in time a few decades — cushioned booths, long counters, and maybe even a jukebox in a corner.
One Reddit user experienced the struggle to find a good diner in Boston in a recent post to the r/boston subreddit.
“Sometimes I just wanna sit down at a diner, have a cup of coffee and have some basic food that I didn’t have to cook,” the user wrote.
