When road tripping along the coast of Maine, it’s hard to avoid the many seafood stops and, really, why would you want to?

TravelMag made the trip, ate a ridiculous amount of seafood, and declared several “can’t-miss” restaurants along the way. We want to know your top pick from the restaurants visited, which are listed below.

“Somewhere between your first lobster roll and your second stop for chowder, this turns into something bigger than a drive,” wrote TravelMag. “It becomes a full-on seafood mission, where every town adds another reason to pull over and every harbor smells like your next meal.”

The seafood tour included clam shacks, raw bars, lobster pounds, and more. Here is a list of TravelMag’s 10 stops:

TravelMag raved about each spot, calling the fried clams at Kennebunkport’s Clam Shack “the stuff of legend” and describing Penobscot’s Bagaduce Lunch as “the kind of place that makes you feel like you have stumbled onto a secret that most of the food world has somehow missed.”

What is your favorite coastal Maine restaurant on the TravelMag tour and why? Let us know in the form below or e-mail us at [email protected]. Your response may be featured in an upcoming Boston.com article.
