Tell us: Have you seen the MBTA’s holiday trains?

This holiday season, one six-car Orange Line and two Green Line cars are dressed up for the holidays.

Have you seen an MBTA train bedecked in holiday decor rumbling through the city?

Your eyes aren’t deceiving you. This holiday season, one six-car Orange Line and two Green Line cars are dressed up for the holidays, according to the MBTA’s spokesperson.

The trains are covered in red and green lights, stickers of MBTA General Manager Phil Eng and Chief Operating Officer Ryan Coholan dressed as Santa Claus, and “Happy Holidays” banners. The interiors also feature snowflake ceilings and lights.

It’s all part of the transportation agency’s efforts to bring a bit of holiday spirit and smiles to its ridership, which is currently undergoing a major shutdown through Dec. 22 on portions of all Green Line branches.

Last year, the MBTA decorated a Green Line Extension train “to spread a little cheer,” Coholan told Boston.com in a written statement (Coholan also dressed up as Santa Claus and drove the train, he added). After seeing riders smile when the train arrived, he knew he had to do it again this year.

“I worked with our teams to come up with a more robust plan, something that would safely set these trains up for a little holiday cheer in regular service,” Coholan said.

Have you seen these special holiday trains? Have the sticker versions of Santa Phil Eng and Ryan Coholan greeted you on your commute?
