Wild turkeys can seem like they’re everywhere near Boston. While they almost went extinct due to overhunting during the colonial era, the birds have made a major comeback — strutting through back yards in South Boston, sauntering across streets in Cambridge, and even lurking in Brookline.

Have you spotted a wild turkey recently? Send your photo and the location of your sighting to [email protected]. Your response may be used to build an upcoming turkey sightings map of Greater Boston.
