Several major wildfires have been burning in the Los Angeles area since Tuesday, destroying homes and forcing thousands of residents to evacuate. At least 24 people have been killed as a result of the flames, according to the Associated Press.
Thousands of homes and businesses have been destroyed in the Palisades and Eaton fires, and the death toll is expected to increase.
The Palisades fire was reported to be 14% contained Monday, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. The Easton fire was 33% contained.

Monument Charlestown Restaurant & Tavern, Prima Boston Italian Steakhouse, and Waverly Kitchen & Bar will donate a portion of the proceeds from their Sunset Spritz cocktail to the California Community Foundation: Wildfire Recovery Fund. This organization helps with providing food, personal necessities, and shelter to survivors and first responders, ensuring that assistance gets to the most underserved communities.
Source in Harvard Square is raising money for the World Central Kitchen (WCK), which is providing fresh meals to those affected by the Los Angeles-area wildfires. Proceeds from the sale of their mocktail Pearfect Harmony will be donated to WCK.
This non-profit organization is focused on providing direct aid to wildfire victims. Through its Wildfire & Disaster Relief programs, the Foundation offers financial and emotional support for the California firefighter community. On their website, people looking to help can make a donation that will go to surviving firefighters and their loved ones.
Grace Community Church is a non-denominational, evangelical church located in Sun Valley, a neighborhood in Los Angeles. Several families in the church have been directly impacted by the wildfires and are seeking help procuring temporary housing and basic living supplies. Any extra funds donated beyond what is used to assist the families affected by the wildfires will be used for future disaster relief.
The Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation is actively seeking donations to help LAFD members battling the fires in the region with supplies and equipment. Donations will go towards supplying LAFD firefighters with emergency fire shelters, hydration backpacks, and wildland brush tools.
Pasadena Humane is a nonprofit organization based in Pasadena dedicated to promoting compassion and care for all animals. They are actively seeking monetary donations to help provide emergency resources to animals affected by the wildfires. Animal Control Officers have been on the ground helping animals in the community and are preparing to send in more officers once the fires are cleared.
While the Salvation Army is national, its Southern California Division is particularly equipped to handle wildfire emergencies and fallouts with a variety of relief forms. The organization’s staff and volunteers are currently deploying mobile canteens with emergency supplies. Last year, the non-profit provided over 7,000 meals and more than 1,600 articles of clothes during wildfire season in the state while providing long-term financial assistance to over 240 households needing to rebuild.
The American Red Cross is a nonprofit organization on the ground supporting Southern Californian residents who have been displaced from their homes. The American Red Cross Los Angeles Region has opened an emergency shelter providing shelter, food, water, health and emotional support services to those affected by the wildfires. To support Red Cross Disaster Relief and help people affected by disasters like fires, visit redcross.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767) or text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a donation.
Cotton Holdings, Inc., a disaster relief and infrastructure support company with locations across the country, is collecting new or gently used clothing and shoes for those affected by the fires in the Los Angeles area. From Jan. 12 through Jan. 15 all Cotton locations across the country will be accepting new or gently used clothing items that will be delivered to the people of Southern California. 24Restore, a Cotton Holdings company, is located at 10 Church St. in Easton, Mass.
Project HOPE, an international global health humanitarian aid NGO, has been on the ground in Los Angeles coordinating with local organizations to support emergency shelters, health care workers, and communities impacted by the fires. Donations will help bring urgent aid and supplies to survivors of these devastating fires.
Lutheran World Relief (LWR) is an international nonprofit dedicated to alleviating suffering and improving the lives of vulnerable communities around the globe. In response to the wildfires affecting millions in California, LWR is actively mobilizing support to those in need and accepting donations here.
World Central Kitchen is a not-for-profit organization that partners with local organizations to provide food relief to those impacted by disasters. WCK’s Relief Team is in the Southern California area providing meals to first responders and residents affected by the fires.
