As one of the most popular horror authors, Stephen King lives up to his name as an icon in the genre.
Earlier this month, Boston.com asked readers to help narrow King’s best novels, then launched a bracket to decide on the champion. In our championship round from Oct. 21 through 23, readers can help decide his best novel: “The Stand” or “’Salem’s Lot.”
King’s career began strong in 1974 with his debut novel “Carrie,” earning its place as a cult classic. Over the past 50 years, many of King’s other works have been adapted into hit television and films.
We want to know what you think of these two novels. Let us know what you love about it, and why you would recommend it? Don’t forget to cast your vote on the book to give your favorite a shot at winning our book bracket.
