Readers, get your cameras ready. The Fourth of July holiday means there will be lots of picture-perfect moments to capture.
The annual July 4 fireworks show is often lauded as the go-to event for the holiday, but there’s more to July 4 in Boston than just the fireworks.
There’s the parade on the morning of July 4 and a dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Old State House afterward. There’s Boston Harborfest, which is one of the country’s largest Fourth of July festivals. Activities include the annual opening ceremony in Downtown Crossing, historical reenactments, arts market, Chowderfest, live musical entertainment, fireworks, and more.
And there’s fun closer to home, too. You might be spending the day with friends and family at a backyard barbeque or other food-filled gathering.
Regardless of how you celebrate, we want to see your best July 4 celebration snapshot, taken in recognition of the holiday.
Submit them to us using the form below or send us an email at [email protected]. Your photos may be used in an upcoming Boston.com article and/or social media channels.
