The Celtics are on their way up.

The team, who clinched the No. 1 spot in the NBA Eastern Conference this season, may be on their way to winning it all. Though the series is tied 1-1 right now, with the Celtics first serving the Cleveland Cavaliers an upsetting loss Tuesday and then being dealt one themselves last night, Boston still has a chance for the glory.

It’s no surprise that the energy at Celtics games is as high as it is. According to a new WalletHub study, out of nearly 300 cities, Boston is the second-best city for basketball fans, coming in just behind Los Angeles. Among specific categories, Boston ranked fifth in NBA attendance, sixth in performance level, and first in NBA fan engagement.

Boston sports fans are known for their passion, and Celtics fans are no different. The C’s social media accounts have some of the most engaged fans in the entire NBA based on follower count, according to the study. Other teams’ fans are fairly passionate about the C’s as well — just ask Knicks fanatics, who have been chanting “We want Boston” in support of a Celtics-Knicks matchup in the Eastern Conference finals.
