When hot weather comes to Boston, there’s no better way to cool off than in the city’s refreshing pools and splash pads. Whether you’re a local or visiting, these spots are perfect for families, friends, or anyone looking to make a splash this summer.

For younger swimmers and those just looking to have some fun without the deep water, Boston’s splash pads offer the perfect escape. If you’re craving a traditional pool day, Boston has you covered with both indoor and outdoor options.

There are 15 pools open this summer, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu said in an Instagram post, and dozens of splash pads across the city.

“We’ve been hard at work renovating and opening new pools and splash pads, expanding swim safety lessons, and dedicating more resources than ever to help everyone in Boston stay cool and have a fun, safe summer,” Wu said.
