The best of them all, according to Boston.com readers, is Mike’s City Diner in the South End.

“Mike’s City Diner! They are just fantastic and the staff there is incredible,” said Olivia F. from Medfield. “Compliments to the chef!”

Fan-favorite dishes from Mike’s included the French toast, the Mike’s Famous Pilgrim sandwich, and the turkey hash.

“Great food, great atmosphere, and great customer service. It’s a must try in Boston, and run by an amazing family!!” said Samantha D. from Haverhill.
