‘I had more to give’: Michelle Barbin is ready to run Boston again
"In a world of things I can't do to help, I can run and raise money."
In our “Why I’m Running” series, Boston Marathon runners share what’s inspiring them to make the 26.2-mile trek from Hopkinton to Boston. If you’re running the marathon, you can share your story here.
Name: Michelle Barbin
Age: 45
From: Natick
I ran the fall Boston Marathon for a local Natick charity and felt like I had more to give so I applied to run with Dana-Farber’s team. My family has lost loved ones to cancer and my mother is currently a patient at Dana-Farber.
In a world of things I can’t do to help, I can run and raise money to fund innovative basic cancer research.
