Age: 31
From: Somerville
This is my second time running for my daughter Harper, who is now four. At a week old, we rushed Harper to Boston Children’s Hospital for abnormal breathing. She was working hard to breathe and breathing fast and doctors early on compared her breathing to someone who had just finished running the Boston Marathon.
We spent a month inpatient monitoring her breathing and running tests. She is now four years old, autistic and non-verbal, and closely followed by BCH for her breathing issues and autism. She is my reason for everything and I have Boston Children’s Hospital to thank for that!
