Name: John Pedro
Age: 29
From: Allston

As a veteran and student living in Boston, I’m running the 128th Boston Marathon to raise money for Fisher House of Boston, who do incredible work providing homes for military and veteran families that come to the city to receive life-changing, world-class medical care.

I previously witnessed several peers and teammates utilize Fisher House to great effect, saving them not just time and money, but helping to harmonize the incredibly stressful process of navigating housing, meals, and visits from family and friends during a surgery or period of extended rehabilitation.

As a local resident and a former Air Force officer, the mission of Fisher House of Boston resonates with me personally and professionally. Your support means the world not just to me, but more importantly to those whom we’ll never meet that will benefit from it dearly.
