Brody Langille is running Boston for his son and patient partner
"Every dollar I raise funds the very best medical care, breakthrough research and vital support services for sick kids and their families."
In our “Why I’m Running” series, Boston Marathon runners share what’s inspiring them to make the 26.2-mile trek from Hopkinton to Boston.
Name: Brody Langille
Age: 33
From: Waltham
For the second year in a row, I am running the Boston Marathon with the Boston Children’s Miles for Miracles Team to help the brave kids at Boston Children’s Hospital. My son, and patient partner, Patrick was prenatally diagnosed with d-TGA and underwent open heart surgery at Boston Children’s when he was only five days old. Recently Patrick celebrated his third birthday and ran his very first (1k) road race!
We are forever grateful for the life-saving medical care that he received, and continues to receive, at Boston Children’s. This is why I run. Every dollar I raise funds the very best medical care, breakthrough research and vital support services for sick kids and their families.
