"Every dollar I raise funds the Robert’s Program on Sudden Unexpected Death in Pediatrics."
In our “Why I’m Running” series, Boston Marathon runners share what’s inspiring them to make the 26.2-mile trek from Hopkinton to Boston. If you’re running the marathon, you can share your story here.
Name: Anthony Creonte
Age: 34
From: Waltham
I’m running the Boston Marathon for Boston Children’s Hospital for Miles for Miracles. I’ve specially joined the Robert’s Program. Unfortunately, one of my nephews suddenly passed away at 4.5 months old due to SIDS.
Every dollar I raise funds the Robert’s Program on sudden unexpected death in pediatrics (SUDP) which is a clinical service offered to families who have lost a child suddenly and unexpectedly, without apparent cause. This program performs state-of-the-art research into sudden unexpected death in pediatrics to understand fatal underlying vulnerabilities in children and prevent them.
